ERA will be using its presence at the FIT Show to reinforce why it’s still the only hardware business in the UK able to offer its customers a ‘total security’ solution for homes. ERA has emerged as the leading security innovator in the smart-home sector, recognising that the way homeowners engage with their homes is changing and, as a consequence, so too are their security needs.
One of the key areas of the stand will be used to showcase ERA’s smartware solutions including the HomeGuard Pro alarm, a high specification cloud-based alert and monitoring alarm system, the first of its kind to combine security with smart living. Using a smartphone app, the HomeGuard Pro offers real time alerts, the ability to protect multiple locations, such as a house, office or holiday home, all accessible literally anytime, anywhere. Likewise, ERA’s WiFi video doorbell, DoorCam, allows homeowners to view all callers and talk to them in real time, whether they are home or not. With ease of operation in mind, once DoorCam is wired in, the householder can simply plug in the WiFi chime which comes as standard, connecting up to four more chimes in the home, all as part of the package. This means a chime will sound in the house, with adjustable sound, volume and light function, eliminating the need to carry a Smartphone around. Both HomeGuard Pro and DoorCam will be demonstrated on the stand, and visitors will also be given the chance to try them out for themselves and learn how to install them with ease.
Elsewhere on the stand visitors will be able to see in operation ERA’s TouchKey, a keyless smart lock bringing to life a fully integrated suite of connected Smart Security Products. Working in combination with ERA’s SureFire lock, the TouchKey also offers a solution for multi-point locks on PVCu and Composite doors. Developed to be secure and simple to use and easy to fit, SUREFIRE delivers effortless multi-point locking: simply close the door to engage the trigger and turn a key to deadlock.
No FIT show would be complete without ERA’s extraordinarily broad range of Fab&Fix decorative hardware. The brand celebrates over thirty years of heritage. With three decades of real world testing and featuring truly matching products, it is no wonder that the brand has forged a durable loyalty with many fabricators, installers and their suppliers. With over 200 window and door products in the range, and up to ten different finishes, Fab&Fix is perfectly suited down to the last screw and offers unparalleled flexibility. This lack of restriction in suited style colour and breadth of range is unique in the market. The industry-renowned ‘Hardex’ surface finish technology is only available on the Fab&Fix range.
The show will also afford fabricators and installers a chance to check out ERA’s 3* BS Kitemarked Invincible Double cylinder, which offers them great opportunities for differentiating themselves from their competitors, thanks to its unique features and benefits. The cylinder, which has five times the strength of conventional options, is now available with a great range of matching ERA compatible handles, escutcheons and furniture.
The strength of the cylinder means it offers maximum protection against attack. In the face of bumping, lock-picking and drilling it simply will not snap, thereby providing an effective and secure solution. The Invincible Door Security system can withstand over 15 minutes of sustained attack without the use of a sacrificial section - so when the intruder has given up and gone the key can still be used to open the door. The Kitemark™ logo stamped on the face of the cylinder provides assurance to the end-user that the 3* Invincible Cylinder meets BSI requirements, and also acts as a visual deterrent to potential intruders due to the unique, sturdy shape of the cylinder.
