Full Description

The Elite hingeguard has been designed to ensure extra security to the hinge side of a casement window designed to engage only when a window is under security attack. The twin security plates prevent disengagement by clamping together to support the hinge against jemmying. Simple, easy to install and effective the plates can be retro fitted and require no special drilling or routing and are fitted with 2/3 screws.

When used in conjunction with ERA friction stay hinges, the hinge guard may achieve PAS24:2012. A pair of Elite hingeguards (4 plates in total) should be fitted to support each hinge and when secured into the windows reinforcement will provide maximum security.

Available in 13mm and 17mm stack heights suitable for all major profiles. Corrosion tested to BS EN 1690 Grade 3 (96 hours), the hingeguard is manufactured from stainless steel. We recommend the use of 4.8mm x 25mm carbon steel zinc coated pan head screws.
